Let me tell you, those plants aren't real.....they're truly nasty pretend plants that the uni should be ashamed of. The building you can see through the window used to be a chemical factory (no really!) but when I was a student here it was the place where we did 'Liberal Studies' on a Wednesday afternoon.....with bare boards, clouds of dust and mousetraps in every corner if I remember rightly! These days they're bijou flatlets that students definitely can't afford to rent, the building was sold off years ago to fund some campus redevelopment plan or other. And only the facade remains, they're standard 'little boxes' behind those gracious windows.
Good news....
Today I picked up my 'long service award', 20 years of sterling service apparently
Bad news....
it works out at only marginally more than 19p per week......

I'm not sure whether the long service award demands congratulations or commiserations...
You are definitely worth more than 19p per week extra. When I'm Prime Minister...
Ah, the Good Lord Giveth, and The Good Lord Taketh......
If you had murdered the Chancellor you would be out by now!!
Yuk! Plastic plants!!
Nice to be appreciated, isn't it?
Ps, I've just seen that the word verification this time is 'nonono' - it must be a sign ... for something!
